About Me

I’m Stuart, Birmingham born and bred. I’ve lived here all my life, apart from three years in my twenties, which I spent in Italy. It was easily the most formative period of my life and it most definitely informs my appreciation, understanding and expectations when it comes to food.

I love cooking as much as I love eating out... and I love drinking too.

About The Blog

It’s my thoughts on the food and experience of eating out in restaurants, mostly in Birmingham and London.

The Japanese have a word tsundoku for the pile of books by the side of your bed that you’ve yet to read and may never get around to. There should also be a word for the list of restaurants that we want to eat at, but may never get around to. This blog is an attempt to close the gap.

I also set this up to develop and showcase my skills with the written word. I was keen to build on my 25+ years experience in video scripting and copy writing and it's so far expanded my portfolio to include social media, content creation, blog posts, newsletters, email marketing and PR articles / features.

I’m also a Great Taste judge for the Guild of Fine Food.

Buon appetito!
